92.9FM to become Pittsburgh’s first Spanish language radio station in May

Ohio’s La Mega Media and Steel City Media have partnered to bring the first Spanish language radio station to serve the growing Hispanic community in the Pittsburgh metropolitan area. Presente welcomes La Mega Pittsburgh radio station as a new resource for our growing Latino community.

For years Pittsburgh has had Spanish-language radio programs like Carnegie Mellon’s WRCTs Barrio Latino, however, this will be the city’s first Hispanic-owned, fully-in-Spanish radio station.

Headquartered in Columbus, La Mega Media, Inc serves Spanish-language speakers in Ohio and its surrounding areas in the Midwest. It operates radio stations in Columbus, Cleveland and Cincinnati and publishes a newspaper, La Mega Nota, with distribution throughout Ohio, Pittsburgh and North Kentucky.

Its website features news in Spanish, and also serves as the site for the new radio station La Mega Pittsburgh. Listeners can also download the mobile app LaMega1 to access music and news.

Steel City Media is a Pittsburgh-based multimedia and digital company with market leading radio stations in Kansas City and Pittsburgh.
