The Latinx44 Scholarship Program was created by former Obama White House staffers Antoinette Rangel and Alexa Kissinger and is funded by dozens of Latinx former Administration officials. The program will award several scholarships to Latinx students to help fund a public service oriented internship in Washington, DC. Recipients of the scholarship will also be provided with mentoring and professional development opportunities throughout the program and beyond.
The goal of the scholarship is to fund public service internships in Washington, DC for summer 2021. If your internship involves policy, community engagement, community service, advocacy, or global relations, then it should qualify!
The scholarship is only available for individuals who have already secured an internship through other avenues. At this time they do not provide internships for applicants. If you are unsure whether your internship qualifies, you can contact the Latinx44 Scholarship Program organization to further discuss.
To apply, you must meet the following criteria:
- Be a current college or graduate student or 2020 or 2021 graduate (college includes community, technical, online, and other educational programs)
- Identify as Latinx/a/o
- With an identified public service internship in Washington, DC for summer 2021
