Now Enrolling: Triple P Parenting Seminars with the LCC

The Latino Community Center (LCC) is now enrolling interested parents in their February and March Triple P Parenting Class Seminars! 

The Triple P – Positive Parenting Program is one of the most effective evidence-based parenting programs in the world. Triple P gives parents simple and practical strategies to help them build strong, healthy relationships with their children that will contribute to a pleasant and productive family life at home. This course series is ideal for any parent with children ages 0-18 who wants to learn to confidently support their child’s behavior while proactively preventing and addressing any developmental delays. 

LCC will be offering multiple Triple P Parenting course options in February and March. These include:

February Classes

  • Introduction to Positive Parenting – Lessons will cover the fundamentals of positive parenting, raising confident, competent children, and raising resilient children ages 0-12 years old. February classes will be held on February 1, 8, and 15 from 6-7:30pm via Zoom.

March-April Classes 

  • Introduction to Positive Parenting – Lessons will cover the fundamentals of positive parenting, raising confident, competent children, and raising resilient children ages 0-12 years old. March classes will be held on March 1, 8, and 15 from 6-7:30pm via Zoom.
  • Intensive Positive Parenting Course, Raising Teenagers – This in-depth 8 week course will provide parents with the fundamentals of raising teenagers including positive parenting basics, encouraging appropriate teen behavior, and implementing effective parenting routines. Classes will be held March 5, 12, 19, and 26, and April 9, 16, 23, and 30 via Zoom. Workbooks are provided for intensive courses. 

LCC’s Triple P parenting courses are the only Triple P courses offered in Spanish in Western Pennsylvania and are currently being offered digitally to interested Latinx families in our region! The Triple P Parenting program at the LCC is part of the Family Center programming supported by the Family Services Network of the Allegheny County Department of Human Services. The Latino Community Center is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to Empower, Advocate with, and Celebrate Latinos in Allegheny County.
