The third annual Fiesta Del Sol is just under two weeks away. On June 18 from 7-9 pm, Casa San Jose will be hosting a virtual event to raise money for their numerous community programs. The event will be livestreamed through the organization’s YouTube channel and Facebook account.

Individual tickets can be purchased on their website. There are three ticket packages available to anyone who wants to attend.

  • The $25 Casa Package includes a ticket and a door prize.
  • The $50 Dulce Package includes a ticket and a delivery of LeMont pastries.
  • The $100 Fiesta Package includes a ticket, LeMont pastries, empanadas, and a bottle of moonshine.

A basket raffle will also be held, and tickets are available to purchase here. Anyone wishing to enter the raffle can buy 10 tickets for $10 or 25 for $20. Winners will be announced and contacted the morning of June 19. Event and basket raffle tickets can be purchased until midnight of June 18.

The money raised from this event will help Casa San Jose fund their programs that support Pittsburgh’s Latino community.

Casa San Jose might be a small organization, but we do so much. This event will help us continue to keep our programs alive.”

Andrea Padilla Herrera, Communications Specialist, Casa San Jose

Casa works closely with people who need employment, and offers transportation, interpretation, and case management services.

This organization cares deeply about the future of Latinx youth. They have organized a program, Puentes Hacia El Futuro, that works with kids ages 6-14. The program functions year-round and provides a space for educational support, mentorship, and much more.

There is no shortage of opportunities and resources for Latinx immigrants looking for support. Casa offers many programs, from mental health services to youth summer camp. For more information about what they can do, visit https://casasanjose.org/

If you support immigrant justice and diverse cultures, please consider donating to this event,” said Herrera.

Remember to purchase your tickets for Fiesta Del Sol and enter the basket raffle to win one of 12 theme baskets!
