Open auditions for Pittsburgh play about immigrant stories

This summer, theater play will be telling the stories of immigrants and refugees in Pittsburgh, past, present, and future. The play will be in September and is about a family who emigrates to the U.S. and takes ESL classes.

They are looking for Ages 15 and up – actors, singers, dancers, and backstage crew!

The play explores the past, present, and future— characters include:  A contemporary Somali father and his teenage daughter, adult students from around the world in an ESL classroom, 1940s African American and Polish Steel workers, and more!

All are welcome!

The play will be performed in English, but all language speaker levels are encouraged to attend! This is a non-equity production.

  • Monday, June 14, 3:00 – 5:00pm OR  6:00 – 8:00pm
  • Tuesday, June 15, 3:00 – 5:00pm OR  6:00 – 8:00pm

**even if you want to be involved but don’t want to be onstage – You are welcome. Call Backs, Wednesday, June 16th 4:00-8:00pm

Location: All Auditions will be hosted at City Theatre Company** 1300 Bingham St. Pittsburgh, PA (between 13th/14th) – Parking available.
