Run Across Guatemala 5k Run/Walk Planned for April

0 comment 126 views

For years the Guatemala Mission Group at St. Richard Church in Gibsonia, PA has been dedicated to supporting the Centro Nutricional y Hogar de los Niños orphanage in Patzún, Guatemala. Breakfast Sundays and the April 5k run had been a major source of fundraising in prior years until they had to be cut back due to the pandemic.

Now the organizers are set on making their 2021 Run Across Guatemala 5k Run/Walk a success. Over 80 orphaned children ranging in age from 0 to 17 years old will benefit from the event.

The race will take place on April 10 at 9am at Harmar Pavillion, near the North Park Swimming Pool. There will be opportunities to sponsor a child, food, prizes, 50/50 raffle, and basket raffles (cash or checks only).

All proceeds from The Run Across Guatemala 5k will benefit the orphanage in Patzún, Guatemala.  Every dollar contributed will be put towards nutritious food, medical supplies, and even pay for life-saving surgeries for children who would otherwise go without.
