Now that school is out, you need something to entertain the kids, but also the rest of the family. The Pittsburgh Zoo is coming to the rescue with a packed summer events calendar with something for everyone!

Eat’n Park Family Month (July):

Throughout the whole month of July, Eat’n Park will be presenting Family Month! Eat’n Park’s famous mascot Smiley will be visiting the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium in the Cookie Cruiser to hand out Smiley cookies on Saturdays, and every kid who visits the Zoo during Family Month will receive a free Kid’s Meal coupon for Eat’n Park.

More information can be found at https://www.pittsburghzoo.org/event-family-month/

Breakfast With the Animals (July):

Saturday July 24th, Saturday July 30th and Sunday July 31st from 9 to 11 AM you can experience breakfast with the animals up close at the Pittsburgh Zoo!

Enjoy breakfast in the Garden Tent with some of the Zoo’s education ambassador animals, and when breakfast is over, explore the rest of the Zoo to see the animals get a breakfast treat.

For information, as well as timing, dates, and ticket sales, see the website at https://www.pittsburghzoo.org/breakfast-with-the-animals/

Asian Lantern Festival (August):

The Asian Lantern Festival is returning to the Pittsburgh Zoo this August through October with an all new display! The festival will run for select nights from Friday, August 12 to Sunday, October 30, and features more than 50 hand crafted glowing and larger than life sculptures, even featuring endangered and extinct animals. In addition to the lanterns, there will be opportunities to learn about asian culture, and themed food and entertainment. Information on ticket sales, dates, and times can be found online at https://www.pittsburghzoo.org/event-asian-lantern-festival/.
