The Junte Boricua is an initiative of different organizations in Puerto Rico that seeks to attract 50,000 Puerto Ricans from the diaspora to the island in the summer of 2024. Below is the communication for all Boricuas living in the United States and the world:
Can you hear that? That’s the sound of Puerto Rico calling you to return to your island for a celebration unlike any before—El Junte Boricua. This summer-long event combines everything that makes Puerto Rico special: music, friends, family, flavor, and so much more.
Our 100×35 mile island will be brimming with festivities and fun, bringing our people together for one big, 4-month-long fiesta. From San Juan to Ponce, Rincón to Fajardo, and across all our municipalities, El Junte Boricua will be a historic event to remember.
The Junte Boricua celebration will include:
Festival de la Piña in Lajas
Mojito Fest in San Juan
Festival Gastronómico Porta del Sol in Mayagüez
Festival del Jíbaro in Comerío
Festival de la Hamaca in San Sebastián
Fiestas de Santiago Apóstol in Loíza
Concurso Nacional de Trovadores in Morovis
…and many other local festivals and cultural events in all municipalities.
The time is near, so answer the call and get ready for El Junte Boricua. For more information about the upcoming events, visit: eventos.junteboricua.com
