This fall Presente Pittsburgh Media proudly published the first printed issue of Pittsburgh Latino Magazine (PLM). The exciting addition to the city’s media landscape provides a new platform giving a voice to Latino experiences, culture, and perspectives.
PLM Founder & President Maria Manautou-Matos shared “bilingual, culturally relevant news makes all the difference to the Latinos living here, who often feel isolated in this region. We are thrilled to publish the first printed edition of the magazine this fall.”
The first issue features stories on Latino entrepreneurs, business owners, and leaders. Tips on buying a home and getting a PA driver’s license are shared. The opinion section shares local Latinos’ thoughts on questions like what are their favorite local restaurants.
The region’s diverse Latino populations are showcased including Mexican, Central American, Venezuelan, Puerto Rican, Colombian, Brazilian, Argentinean, and others.
Pittsburgh Latino Magazine launched in 2020 as an online magazine sharing news and information to connect, celebrate, and empower the regional community while giving a voice to the diverse local Hispanic population. Since then the webpage has surpassed 100K views and the social media following has experienced steady growth.
The magazine will be published quarterly every season with future issues coming out in December (winter), March (spring), and June (summer).
PLM is available at Latino organizations, restaurants, libraries, and community centers throughout the region. It is free thanks to the support of advertisers. To secure your ad spot in our next issue, contact LatinoNews@PresentePgh.com.
Pittsburgh Latino Magazine’s printed edition is a significant step towards diversifying Pittsburgh’s media landscape, reinforcing our commitment to contributing to the region’s inclusion and representation efforts.
